Project ACTION provides training, resources and technical assistance to disability organizations, consumers with disabilities and local transportation operators. It maintains a resource center with the most up-to-date information on transportation accessibility.

The Transportation Advocacy Project is committed to increase the availability
of accessible, affordable transportation for all Pennsylvanians with disabilities.
To do this, TAP actively brings together, works with and provides direct
assistance to individuals and groups throughout Pennsylvania who are working
locally, regionally or state-wide to improve transportation options for
people with disabilities.
The Transportation Advocacy Project works with local leaders to organize
Transportation Roundtables, Transportation Forums, Local Information and
Strategy Meetings, Transportation Advocacy Training, and Individualized
Responses to Particular Local or Regional Group Concerns.
The project also publishes a newsletter, Advocate for Consumer Transportation
(ACT). The newsletter is devoted to providing information to improve transportation
choices for people with disabilities in PA. News from the PA Transportation
Alliance is also included in the newsletter. TAP also provides Transportation
Advocacy Briefs and an E-mail List-Serve which provides timely information
on transportation advocacy statewide and functions as a source of information
exchange among transportation advocates around the state and across disability
groups.
For questions or comments or to share what is happening in your local
community around transportation, call one of the numbers listed above.
